FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used in development of advanced radar systems and their modernization. Essence of the proposed method for ranging air targets at the near-homing stage when the fighters solve tasks of intercepting and destroying aerial targets using all-aspect guided missiles with radar seeker is that at an arbitrary moment of time start ranking for all N c tracked targets based on the obtained distance measurement Di from the plane to ith target and its derivative and on-board bearings from PJIC and angles of attack α, sliding β, roll pitch yaw and their derivatives from the system of autonomous sensors there are formed components of matrix of resultant coordinate transformations. Based on the derived matrix components, the current lead angle is calculated and the projection of the angular velocity of the aircraft on the axis of the associated coordinate system. Further, projections of angular velocity, ballistic range Dr at the moment of launching of the missile, components of the vector of the predicted range are determined and the required spatial angle of anticipation is formed and angle guidance error Calculated values for each target are ranked as the generalized index increases.
EFFECT: technical result is providing high probability of making the right decision when determining targets most favourable for attack.
