FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: hydraulic (pneumatic) cylinder is intended for reciprocating movement of working element from one position to another. Piston assembly (18) is installed inside cylinder sleeve (12) of cylinder, which is a part of hydraulic (pneumatic) cylinder (10), and performs movement in axial direction as a result of supply of fluid medium under pressure. This piston assembly (18) includes disc-shaped plate (98) connected to one end of piston rod (20), and ring (100) connected to outer edge of plate (98). This plate (98) is made from elastically deformable metal material and elastically deformed and bent when bringing ring (100) of piston assembly (18) into contact with cover (14) of head or cover (16) of rod, which provides damping strokes acting on piston assembly (18).

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of dimensions of hydraulic (pneumatic) cylinder and absorption of impacts on cover in final positions of piston.
