FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: in piston assembly (18) of hydraulic (pneumatic) cylinder (10) multiple magnets (122) are installed through holes (120) in ring (100). Magnets (122) are installed in positions, at which they are facing sensors (92) of detection, mounted on connecting rods (88), and number of these magnets coincides with number of connecting rods (88). Besides, inside ring (100) there is guide rod (124) inserted from head cover (14) to rod cover (16). During movement of piston assembly (18) along cylinder liner (12), rotary movement of said assembly is limited by movement of piston assembly (18) along guide rod (124), and magnets (122) are held in positions at which they are constantly facing connection rods (88), which provides detection of position of piston assembly (18) using sensors (92) of detection through magnets (122).
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of weight of hydraulic (pneumatic) cylinder.
