SUBSTANCE: invention relates to porous structures with given Poisson ratio. Disclosed is an auxetic structure comprising a first layer and a second layer, wherein the first layer defines a plurality of first openings made according to the first pattern, and the plurality of first openings provides a first porosity; and second layer defining plurality of second holes made according to second pattern providing second porosity. Second layer covers first layer so that plurality of second holes at least partially overlaps multiple first holes, defining plurality of third holes according to third pattern, wherein a plurality of third holes define a third porosity that is less than the first porosity or second porosity. Second layer is connected to the first layer by multiple separate connecting elements. In other aspects, in addition to said first and second layers, there is one or more additional layers defining holes and/or porosity.

EFFECT: invention provides creating auxetic structures with developed location patterns that demonstrate behaviour with a negative Poisson ratio.
