FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration membranes. Disclosed is monolithic separation element for tangential separation of treated fluid medium into filtrate and retentate, wherein said separation element comprises straight-line rigid porous base of three-dimensional structure, inside which there is at least one channel for flow of treated fluid medium to collect filtrate on outer surface of base, wherein the outer surface of the base has a constant profile such that all outer generating lines parallel to the central axis of the base are parallel to each other by straight lines, characterized in that the monolithic rigid porous base comprises obstacles, starting from internal wall of channel or channels, for circulation of treated fluid medium, which are characterized by identity of material and porous texture with base, as well as continuity of material and porous texture with base, wherein the obstacles appearing between the first and second positions along the longitudinal axis of the channel, creating abrupt narrowing or convergence in the flow direction of the treated fluid in said channel, impeding or disturbing fluid medium flow, said abrupt narrowing having a radial wall located perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and said convergence has wall inclined relative to longitudinal axis at angle α, strictly exceeding 0° and less than 90°.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of large surface shear stresses and strong turbulence inside channels, elimination of contaminants.
