FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to production of semi-processed strip from electro-technical isotropic steel (semi-processed technology), used for making magnetic conductors of electric machines. To improve magnetic properties of semi-process strip from electro-technical isotropic steel there is steel melting performed, containing, wt%: carbon not more than 0.010, silicon 0.50–2.50, aluminum 0.30–1.20, antimony 0.02–0.07, manganese not more than 0.25, phosphorus not more than 0.015, sulfur not more than 0.007, titanium not more than 0.005, nitrogen not more than 0.007, iron and unavoidable impurities – balance, when meeting ratio of 0.52≤Si+Sb≤2.57, steel pouring, hot rolling, optionally heat treatment of hot-rolled strip, etching, cold rolling and annealing of cold-rolled strip, at that annealing is performed at temperature not higher than 768 °C, i.e. not higher than Curie point, steel magnetic conversion temperature. Allowed in method of semi-process isotropic steel production two-stage cold rolling with intermediate annealing between them, wherein second cold rolling is performed with reduction of 1–12 %, and intermediate and final annealing is performed at temperature not higher than 768 °C.
EFFECT: method is proposed for production of semi-process electrical isotropic steel with low specific magnetic losses.
