SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an appliance for cutting hair. Cutting unit of hair cutting device comprises cutting unit. It consists of external and internal cutting elements. Virtual skin plane is located on the side of the external cutting element facing away from the inner cutting element and passes parallel to the movement direction and the skin surface. Inner cutting element comprises cutting elements with first cutting edges. Projections of the first and second cutting edges on the virtual skin plane form, respectively, the first and second cutting angles to the direction of motion. External cutting element comprises hair inlet holes with second cutting edges. Projections of the first and second cutting edges form the first and second angles of inclination to the virtual plane of the skin of the cutting unit. First and second inclination angles and first and second cutting angles are selected to contact first and second cutting edges with virtual cylindrical hair in first and second contact positions. First contact position is located closer to the virtual skin plane than the second contact position.

EFFECT: improved quality of cutting hair.
