FIELD: electromechanics; machine control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a terminal which performs data exchange with a device in a vehicle. Terminal communicates with vehicle electronic control unit to control vehicle. Terminal comprises a controller, a receiving unit, a generating unit and a transmission unit. In the vehicle control method, which is carried out by the terminal, receive the first signal, update the set value with reception of the first signal, generate a second signal based on the updated predetermined value, transmit the second signal to the device in the vehicle, receive a third signal including a command for instructing switching the operating mode of the terminal, from the device in the vehicle and when the third signal is a response to the second signal, switch the operating mode of the terminal from the predetermined first mode to the predetermined second mode or from the predetermined second mode to the predetermined first mode.
