FIELD: vehicle equipment and accessories.
SUBSTANCE: terminal communicates with device in vehicle to control vehicle. Terminal includes a controller configured to switch and set a plurality of operating modes, and a vibration detection unit configured to detect terminal vibration. Operating modes include a first mode, a second mode other than the first mode, and a third mode when data communication with the device in the vehicle is more limited than in the first mode and the second mode. Controller is made with possibility, when first mode is executed, in case vibration is not detected in vibration detection unit during specified time, to switch operating mode to third mode, and when the second mode is executed, in case the vibration is not detected in the vibration detection unit during a period longer than the specified time, to switch the operating mode to the third mode.
