SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of marking articles and optical reading and decoding of characters of machine-readable bar codes of various types, in which by means of precision drive mechanisms of positioning of actuating unit on a given trajectory, a controlled discrete corresponding action on marked material is performed at the required moment and subsequent verification of the resulting symbol with initial coded information. Combined device intrusive marking and verification of characters of machine-readable direct application codes and luminescent symbols and images can be used for cost-effective, affordable, convenient and simple performance of industrial marking by intrusive method with direct reading and verification of result, under the same conditions as in one independent technological process, and when implementing embedded marking solutions in complex production lines or metal-working centers with numerical programmed control, without changing their functionality.

EFFECT: disclosed is a combined device for intrinsically labeling and verification of machine-readable direct application codes and luminescent symbols and images.
