SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless networks. Disclosed is an aggregation method between a wireless wide area network, WWAN, and a wireless local area network (WLAN), wherein the method is carried out by a WWAN network element and comprises steps determining a set of quality of service attributes, QoS, WWAN for each bearer from one or more unidirectional channels associated with specific user equipment, UE; decision is made that aggregation between WWAN and WLAN should be performed for at least one unidirectional channel from one or several unidirectional channels associated with specific UE; identifying which of at least one unidirectional channel associated with said specific UE is/are to be aggregated between WWAN and WLAN; transmitting, to a WLAN network element, information relating to a set of WWAN QoS attributes for each bearer from said at least one bearer identified for aggregation between the WWAN and the WLAN; and scheduling a packet layer for aggregation between WWAN and WLAN of each of said at least one bearer identified for aggregation between WWAN and WLAN.

EFFECT: enabling aggregation between a wireless wide area network, WWAN, and a wireless local area network (WLAN).
