FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to beekeeping and can be used for reproduction of honey-bee colonies in central and northern regions of the country differing by unstable cold and prolonged period of bees hibernation. Method for reproduction of honey-bee colonies includes placing and keeping bees during winter period of colony life in a beehive. Reproduction of honey-bee colonies begins at the end of May – beginning of June by creating a layer at least within 3 frames using a fruit pedigree womb and its further independent development during the summer period. At the same time during the wintering period, beehives with bees are placed in an underground meadow-grass, in which temperature is regulated in 3 periods: first period – November–December, temperature from -3 to -1 °C; second period is January, temperature is from -2 to 0 °C; third period – February, temperature from +1 to +5 °C. Lower temperature limits are provided at night, and upper values during daytime.
EFFECT: invention provides high winter preservation of young honey-bee colonies, their dynamic development to produce high-grade honey-bee colonies in early spring, which are ready for active honey collection or commercial implementation.
