SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method for investigation of thermal, thermo-oxidative and hydrolytic destruction of polymer materials. Device for realizing a method of investigating thermal, thermal-oxidative and hydrolytic decomposition of polymer materials, consisting of a chamber for conducting pyrolysis processes connected to a chromatograph through a dispensing valve and provided with a plug with a crucible holder for samples, by the gas supply line outside the cell to the chromatograph detector, by the second gas supply line through the dispensing valve into the cell with subsequent supply of the formed products of polymer destruction to the chromatograph and the third gas line intended for continuous blowing of the cell with minimum flow rate in order to exclude the effect of decomposition products on the polymer destruction.

EFFECT: high accuracy and completeness of detection with ease of its implementation.
