METHOD FOR RESTORING BALANCE OF THE SPINE IN CONGENITAL DEFORMATION OF THE THORACIC AND LUMBAR SECTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH ALTERNATING HEMIVERTEBRAE IN CHILDREN IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD AGE PERIOD Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/70

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for restoring the balance of the spine in case of congenital deformity of the thoracic and lumbar sections associated with alternating hemivertebrae in children during early childhood. Dorsal bilateral access to the deformed spine is performed. Transpedicular screws of the transpedicular fixation system are installed bilaterally in the pedicles of the vertebrae. By means of partial laminectomy of the alternating hemivertebrae and total discectomy between the alternating hemivertebrae, the deformed spine is mobilized, the disc cavity is cured with the removal of the endplates. The graft is placed in the prepared interbody space, the pedicle rods are installed in the screw heads, the deformity is simultaneously corrected in the frontal and sagittal planes with a corrective maneuver, the spine is fixed in the achieved position by the pedicle system, posterior fusion is created using the graft. The wound is sutured in layers with interrupted sutures.

EFFECT: method ensures restoration of local balance in the frontal and sagittal planes in the thoracic and lumbar spine in children, reduces the risk of neurological complications, reduces the amount of blood loss by restoring the balance of the spine without extirpation of the hemivertebrae.
