FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely to passive radio monitoring systems, and, in particular, can be used in systems for location of radio-frequency sources (RFS). Essence of the method for determining coordinates of a radio-frequency source involves delivering an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to a prospective location area of a radio-frequency source with radioelectronic search facilities installed on its board, detecting and determining parameters of radio-frequency signal signals, radio navigation determination of coordinates, processing and data transceiving, performing UAV flight along circular trajectory relative to ground surface, determining onboard the UAV coordinates of its location, based on which values are measured onboard the UAV spatial parameters of its flight trajectory, on-board UAV frequency search signals RFS, measurement when detecting onboard of the radio-frequency source signal of its frequency, fixing aboard the UAV at the maximum and minimum values of frequency of the signal of the radio-frequency source of coordinates of its location, determination of coordinates of the RFS location on the UAV as coordinates of the point of intersection of the tangents to the UAV flight trajectory, drawn from the points with the UAV location coordinates at the time of reaching the frequency of the RFS signal of the maximum and minimum values.
EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of determining coordinates of radio-frequency sources by throwable unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) of radio monitoring.
