FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to passive radio monitoring systems, and, in particular, can be used in radio emission source (RES) positioning systems. When implementing the claimed method, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with radio-electronic means for searching, detecting and determining the parameters of RES signals, radio navigation positioning, processing and data transmission is delivered to the intended area of the location of the RES. The UAV is flown along a given trajectory relative to the earth's surface. The coordinates of its location are determined on board the UAV. The frequency search for RES signals is carried out on board the UAV and measurement is carried out when the RES signal of its frequency is detected on board the UAV. N≥3 UAV location coordinates corresponding to N≥3 frequency values of the RES signal are recorded. The values of N≥3 coordinates of the UAV location, the values of the corresponding N≥3 frequencies of the RES signal and the values of the spatial parameters of the given flight path of the UAV are used to calculate the spatial coordinates of location of the RES on board the UAV.
EFFECT: increase of efficiency of determining the coordinates of RES by a radio control unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
