SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aqueous curable binding composition for binding a set of unbound or weakly bound substances, comprising (i) a polyphenolic macromolecular compound carrying a plurality of phenolic or polyhydroxybenzene radicals, such as catechol radicals (dihydroxybenzene), preferably lignosulphonate salts and condensed tannins and mixtures thereof, and (ii) a polyamine compound with a functional amino group, wherein the ratio of the polyphenol macromolecular compound to the polyamine compound with the amino functional group ranges from 98:2 to 50:50, preferably from 98:2 to 70:30 wt. %, more preferably from 95:5 to 80:20 wt. %, wherein composition additionally contains matrix polymer.

EFFECT: composition is suitable for binding substances in form of particles, such as fibres, more specifically fibres of mineral wool or particles, such as wood particles.
