SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for thermal modification of wood materials and can be used in woodworking, furniture and other industries when making wood products. Device for heat treatment of wood comprises a heat-insulated vacuum drying chamber comprising a charging opening with a cover, rigid bottom for arrangement of stack of boards, inside the chamber there are heating plates, between which there are wood subjected to thermal treatment, with heating system; vacuum pump, cooling system, vacuum valve. Chamber is made in the form of parallelepiped and is equipped with cover containing membrane from elastomer, which exerts pressure on stack; heating system is a closed loop of heat carrier circulation, connected to heating plates through high-temperature high-pressure hoses and containing in series heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant pipeline heating boiler, heat exchanger, circulating pump; heat carrier is thermal oil or other high-temperature synthetic heat carriers; for heat carriers cooling the circuit is equipped with a cold water heat exchanger equipped with a tap; chamber is in series connected to vacuum pump and vacuum check valve; chamber is connected with moisture pickup to remove moisture formed in the chamber. Chamber is equipped with an emergency means of substitution of negative barometric pressure, which is a cylinder with carbonic gas, or nitrogen, or inert gas connected to the chamber through an electric valve.
