FIELD: wood working at drying of wood and lumbers, for example, boards, cants, blanks of various shapes, applicable in working of other fibrous materials based on wood or having similar conditions of drying, in working of poor wood species, such as asp, as well as for production of high-quality wood and manufacture of products of various complex shape, in particular, musical instruments. SUBSTANCE: the device has heat-insulated sealed chamber 1 accommodating container 2 with a rack and/or spacers, whose floor and ceiling are provided with holes producing a flow of gaseous atmosphere inside container 2 with the aid of fans 5 installed in the ends faces of sealed chamber 1 and directed upwards, gaseous atmosphere heating device 9 is positioned under the floor of container 2, and/or along its side walls, and/or above its ceiling, and the outlet device is provided with actuator valve 8 for control of the pressure variation rate in the sealed chamber. For enhancing the uniformity of circulation of the flow of gaseous atmosphere inside the container and, respectively, for enhancing the uniformity of wood heating the following condition must be satisfied: S₁>S₂, and S₄>S₃, where S₁ - the fan outlet area; S₂ - the total area of holes in the container floor; S₃ - the total area of holes in the container ceiling; S₄ - the fan outlet area. EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of flow rate of gaseous atmosphere and its temperature inside the sealed chamber in the container, which results in enhancing of uniformity of moisture evaporation by the volume of dried wood, maintained preset parameters of the gaseous atmosphere pressure temperature and humidity. 14 cl, 3 dwg
