SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for monitoring the operation of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. Device for monitoring the operation of the HVAC system comprises a first means of obtaining values of measured values associated with the HVAC system; evaluation module, depending on obtained values of measured values and using a neural network, values of at least one parameter characterizing operation of the HVAC system, wherein each measured value is the input variable of the neural network, and each characteristic parameter is output variable of neural network, device further comprises a HVAC system diagnosis module, wherein the diagnostic module is configured to calculate the probabilities of failure of the HVAC system using a Bayesian network, wherein the malfunctions are given, each input variable of the Bayesian network is associated with a corresponding characteristic parameter, and each probability of corresponding failure is output variable of Bayesian network.
EFFECT: invention is intended to offer a more effective device for monitoring the operation of the HVAC system, which enables preventive maintenance.
