SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for seismic data processing. In the present disclosure, a method and an apparatus for processing seismic data relating to geological investigations are disclosed. Method comprises summation of seismic traces collections in a given interval from the number of seismic traces S after the normal time increment (NTI) correction process to obtain a model trace, S is an integer; calculating a correlation coefficient of each collection of seismic tracse with a model trace and selecting a K-th selection of seismic traces with a maximum correlation coefficient; calculating an optimum point of each collection of seismic traces from K-th collection of seismic traces to both sides in order; and performing residual correction for normal increment of time of collections of seismic traces in accordance with points of optimum.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of obtained data is provided.
