FIELD: fur farming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fur farming. Method for correction of iodine deficiency and winter ripening process in young minks developed based on assessment of thyroid hormone content in blood serum, thyroid morphology, state of skin-hair cover in young minks including the use of an organoelemental iodine-containing preparation. As an iodine-containing preparation, a complex preparation "Abiopeptide with iodine" is introduced into the fodder mix for 60 days during hair follicle moulting in August-October in a daily dose of 1 ml per kg of live weight a day.
EFFECT: what is offered is a method for correction of iodine deficiency and process of aging of winter hair cover in young minks.
