FIELD: veterinary science; animal husbandry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and animal husbandry. Disclosed is a complex iodine-containing preparation for eliminating iodine deficiency in young cattle, containing in certain amounts organic iodine in form of 3,5-diiod-L-tyrosine, selenium (IV) in form of sodium selenite, zinc aminoate, iron (III) in nanoparticles of iron dextrin colloid, copper (III), included in crystal lattice of inorganic core of nanoparticles of iron dextrin colloid, vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E and additives. Invention can be used for prevention and treatment of iodine-deficient hypothyroidism in young cattle.
EFFECT: preparation promotes higher triiodothyronine and thyroxine and reduced thyroid-stimulating hormone, higher haemoglobin and erythrocyte content, as well as reliable increase in average daily weight gain in young cattle.
