SUBSTANCE: cartridge (1) according to invention comprises shell (2), which has first and second end walls (4, 5) connected to each other by annular side wall (6) and limiting inner chamber (7) containing a certain amount or portion of substance (S) for beverage preparation. At shell (2) there is at least one first and at least one second permeable walls (6a, 5), protruding as inlet for input of water flow into chamber (7) and as output respectively of beverage flow from chamber (7). Between the first and second permeable walls (6a, 5) near shell (2) there is an outwardly projecting circular formation (3g). Section (6a) of permeable inlet wall for water inlet into chamber (7) is made in annular side wall (6) of shell (2). Circular formation (3g) extends from the second end wall (5) in a direction substantially opposite the first end wall (4).
