FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal corrosion prevention. Metal corrosion inhibitor as an active substance contains 3-methylglutaric aldehyde in range of 0.01 mln-1 up to 3000 mln-1. Invention also relates to a method of producing a metal corrosion inhibitor and a method of suppressing metal corrosion by using said inhibitor.
EFFECT: disclosed inhibitor of metal biological corrosion exhibits active action at low concentration and has excellent biodegradability.
