SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of inhibiting growth of microorganisms. The invention discloses a method of protecting materials from microbial destruction through introduction of a substance with antimicrobial activity into the protected material. Said substance is a methane oxyphenyl derivative which also contains one furyl or phenyl or trichloromethyl radical.
EFFECT: method widens the range of environmentally safe substances for antimicrobial protection, having prolonged effect and highly reliable protection.
