FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in supercharged internal combustion engines. Method of engine operation consists in adjustment of valve position located inside engine compressor recirculation channel, on the basis of recirculation flow through said valve. Recirculation flow rate is determined based on the difference between the total flow rate at the inlet and the total flow rate of the engine entering the engine cylinders. Total flow rate at the inlet is measured downstream the outlet of the compressor recirculation channel and upstream of the compressor recirculation channel inlet. Invention discloses engine operating method and vehicle system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of evaluation of recirculation flow rate and prevention of compressor surge by more accurate control of recirculation flow rate.
