SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition for use in medicine containing electrically spun fibers, comprising i) a hydrophilic polymer soluble in a first solvent, and where hydrophilic polymer is selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, acrylates and acrylic copolymers and mixtures thereof, ii) a bioadhesive substance having solubility in said first solvent of 0.5 g/100 ml or less in said first solvent, and where the bioadhesive is selected from dextrans, polyethylene oxides, alginate, tragacanth, carrageenan, pectin, guar, xanthane, gellan, methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, polymers of acrylic acids, chitosan, lectins, thiolated polymers, polyoxo-WSRA, copolymers of polymers of acrylic acids and polyethylene glycol, as well as mixtures thereof, iii) optionally, a medicinal substance, wherein the outer surface of the composition is provided with a waterproof coating. Also described is a kit for use in medicine, comprising i) said composition and ii) applicator for application of composition in oral cavity. Also described is a method of producing said composition.
EFFECT: composition for use in medicine, capable of remaining on the application site for a long period of time, as well as in the presence of a drug substance, releasing it from the composition for a long period of time.
