FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of pharmaceuticals and veterinary medicine, namely to a combination for local application to the skin, which is a bioadhesive gel and contains: I) 1–5 % wt. polycarbophil, II) 4–8 % wt. polyvinylpyrrolidone, III) 1–10 % wt. glycerine, IV) 20–40 % wt. propylene glycol, while the mass ratio of (II):(I) is from 1:1 to 4:1, the mass ratio of (III):(I) is from 0.5:1 to 2:1 and the mass ratio of (IV):(I) ranges from 8:1 to 20:1; and to the use of this combination as a gelling or film-forming agent. Also the invention relates to a pharmaceutical or veterinary gel composition comprising said combination together with an active ingredient and excipients and/or carriers; and to a method for producing such compositions.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides for the production of gel compositions for topical use on the skin with high bioadhesiveness, stability and bioavailability of the active ingredient.
