FIELD: astronautics; communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of space communication and can be used to construct an effective global multifunctional info-communication satellite system. For this purpose, the system, as part of the space segment, contains an orbital constellation of spacecraft in circular orbits in several orbital planes. Overall frequency band for the subscriber radio links is evenly distributed between the orbital planes. Earth segment contains control stations for the orbital constellation and interface with terrestrial public telecommunication networks. System contains a plurality of subscriber terminals. Orbital constellation includes at least 4 spacecraft in circular orbits with a height of 4,000 to 15,000 km in each of at least three orbital planes with an inclination from 45° up to 55°. Orbital planes are uniformly spaced along the equator arc.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure the global satellite communication and data transmission using spacecraft placed in medium circular orbits with fewer spacecraft.
