FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication equipment and can be used in satellite information systems. For this purpose a satellite communication and data transmission system consists of an orbital group of spacecraft with multi-beam antennae at low circular orbits, regional stations to facilitate communication and provide connection to external networks. Available frequency-orbital resource is uniformly distributed between different orbital planes. For each satellite a recovered width of the frequency band is uniformly distributed between the beams forming the satellite coverage area.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of a global satellite communication system making it possible to provide within the area of servicing various information services: voice communication, short messages sending, locating mobile users, collection and transmission of monitoring information to users with small-size user terminals.
