FIELD: soil or rock drilling; mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to borehole articles from magnesium alloys and can be used in oil and gas industry. Corroded well article is made from magnesium alloy containing the following, wt. %: 0.01–10 of one or more of Ni, Co, Ir, Au, Pd or Cu, 1–10 Y, 1–15 of at least one rare-earth metal other than Y, and 0–1 Zr. According to the second embodiment, the magnesium alloy contains, wt. %: 0.01–10 Ni, Ir, Au, Pd or Cu, 1–15 Al, and 0.1–1 Mn. According to the third embodiment, the magnesium alloy contains, wt. %: 0.01–15 of one or more of Ni, Ir, Au, Pd or Cu, 1–9 Zn and 0.1–1 wt. % of Mn. Said magnesium alloys have corrosion rate of at least 50 mg/cm2/day in 15 % KCl at 93 °C and conditional yield point at residual deformation of 0.2 % of at least 50 MPa when tested using ASTM B557-10 tensile test method. Invention also relates to a method of hydraulic fracturing of a formation using said downhole tools.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at creation of corrosive article with required corrosion characteristics and improved mechanical properties.
