FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnesium alloy; it can be used as a borehole tool for hydraulic fracturing. Magnesium alloy, suitable for use as a corrosion-prone borehole product, contains, wt.%: 2-7 Gd, 0-1 Y, 0-5.0 Nd, 0-0.5 Zr, 0.1-2 Ni, magnesium and unavoidable impurities - the rest, while the alloy has relative elongation measured according to the ASTM B557M-10 standard of at least 22%.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the ductility of the alloy while maintaining the level of corrosion characteristics.
