FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. In compliance with first embodiment, motor vehicle comprises body, body rear post, doors and element with textured surface resistant to seepage. Body contains an edge of the roof spar and a front pillar of the body forming a side opening of the body. Doors are located in body side opening and are fixed by hinges to body posts. Element with textured surface resistant to infiltration is provided along the roof spar edge above the doors and along the front pillar and is an adhesive tape. According to the second embodiment, the motor vehicle contains an element with a textured surface resistant to seepage, containing an adhesive tape having a textured surface with transverse hatching. Method of reducing water leakage from the roof spar of the motor vehicle body roof edge includes the step of applying an element with a leak-resistant surface along the roof spar edge over the side opening of the body.

EFFECT: elimination of water infiltration inside the vehicle.
