FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of materials using magnetic means and can be used in high-speed flaw detection of railway rails for detection and evaluation of state of welded joints of rails. Essence: on rail several magnetic field sensors are installed and used, located along the line across longitudinal axis of rail and providing required resolution on width of rail head. Distributing signals simultaneously received by all sensors is evaluated. At uniform distribution on all transducers decision is made on detection of welded joint, and in case of non-uniform – determination of degree of danger of anomaly.
EFFECT: increased probability of detection of welded joints of rails and evaluation of their condition.
