FIELD: agriculture; forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, forestry and horticulture, particularly, to insect pests in order to protect trees from them. At least two isolated electrodes (6, 7) are placed with coverage of tree trunk. Voltage electrodes (6, 7) are supplied. Electrodes (6, 7) are arranged in the form of extended conductors by winding the tree trunk spirally with alternation of turns of said electrodes (6, 7). DC voltage is applied to electrodes (6, 7) providing formation of electrostatic field with intensity between turns of electrodes equal to not less than 5,000 V/m. Device contains at least two isolated electrodes (6, 7) installed with coverage of the tree trunk. Device includes connected to them power supply (1). Electrodes (6, 7) are made in the form of extended conductors installed by winding them tree trunk spirally with alternation of turns of said electrodes (6, 7). Power supply source (1) is configured to supply DC voltage to electrodes (6, 7), which provides formation of electrostatic field with intensity between turns of electrodes (6, 7) equal to not less than 5,000 V/m.
EFFECT: possibility of taking preventive measures by repelling insect pests, reducing labor costs, improving safety of device operation, as well as enlarging the range of used such facilities.
