FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of metal-carbon nanocomposite material based on copper, hardened by carbon nanofibres. Method involves preparation of an aqueous solution of copper nitrate containing iron nitrate, followed by spray drying to form a powder consisting of copper and iron nitrates, thermal decomposition of obtained powder until formation of powdered oxides of copper and iron in oxidative atmosphere, recovery of powder oxides copper and iron to metal copper and iron in hydrogen medium, after which on surface of mixture of powders copper and iron carbon nanofibre is grown in acetylene-hydrogen atmosphere.
EFFECT: enabling increase in strength, wear resistance, hardness at high electroconductivity.
