FIELD: essential oils industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to essential oil production. Method involves grinding clove buds, extracting the ground raw material with an organic solvent in a Soxhlet apparatus and evaporating the solvent. Organic solvent used is an easily boiling liquid – methyl ether of perfluorobutane at a raw material/solvent ratio of 1:4.5–9.0 wt/wt, extraction of the raw material is carried out for 1–5 hours, the obtained extract is evaporated under vacuum at 40 °C to obtain essential oil.
EFFECT: invention allows to develop ecologically clean method for extraction of essential oil from clove tree buds, which does not require complex equipment.
