THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE WITH CONTROLLED HEAT RELEASE AT CONSTANT TEMPERATURE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F24H7/04

Abstract RU 2696183 C1

FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical method of thermal energy accumulation at high temperature received from other energy sources, both directly, and by conversion of electric energy into thermal energy, and can also be used to generate electricity using a thermoelectric converter or thermal machine (Stirling engine, steam machine, steam turbine, etc.), for hot water supply, heating, etc. In heat energy accumulator with controlled heat release at constant temperature containing reservoir, having thermal insulation filled with solid accumulating medium, as well as main and external heat exchangers with heat carrier, connected to source and consumer of heat energy respectively. Novelty is that the main heat exchanger is made in the form of a spiral diverging from the central axial part to the walls of the reservoir and additionally periodically bent in the direction of the axis of the reservoir, wherein central part of spiral is connected to collector of hot heat carrier, which for heat release at stable temperature is connected to external heat exchanger, which is connected in its turn with peripheral part of spiral through collector of cold heat carrier. Also, the heat exchanger spiral can be made in the form of a multi-turn spiral with the number of runs N>1. Besides, between the coils of the main heat exchanger heat-insulating screen (s) is installed in the form of a spiral with number of inputs N≥1.

EFFECT: creation of reliable and stable accumulator of heat energy with simple design, which allows to perform controlled heat recovery in collector of output part of heat exchanger at stable high temperature.
