FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for measuring a tissue change signal (for example, photoplethysmography signal (PPG)) without significant displacement of direct current or low-frequency (LF) bias, which usually limits accuracy of the sensor due to motion artefacts and/or requirements for dynamic range. Proposed solution is based on separation of PPG signal from said distortion.

EFFECT: separation of PPG signal from said distortion can be achieved by creating modulated signal PPG or by creating a differential signal PPG, as well as an optimized configuration of the sensor, which is configured to remove components of direct current or low-frequency components.
