SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for authenticating an individual based on combining a plurality of biological characteristics. Method includes: collecting at least two types of identification information related to biological characteristics of the identified user; extraction of characteristics for each type of said at least two types of collected identification information related to biological characteristics in order to obtain corresponding characteristic information; constructing characteristic matrices based on the characteristic information; performing normalization processing of each of the characteristic matrices; performing dynamic combination with weighting on all normalized characteristic matrices to obtain a combined characteristic matrix; comparing the combined characteristic matrix with the predetermined standard matrix to obtain a match estimate; and obtaining identification result of identifiable user based on Bayes model of decision making and evaluation of match.
EFFECT: high reliability of authenticating an individual.
