FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas industry and can be used in operation of GPA-C1-16L/76-1.44 with engine AL-31STN as a method of reducing air temperature between housing of power turbine of AL-31STN engine and inner housing of volute GPA-C1-16L/76-1.44 in combustion products discharge system. Method of reducing air temperature in cavity between conical housing of power turbine of gas turbine engine and internal volute housing of gas transfer unit consists in the fact that dismounting floating ring installed between inner volute housing and conical housing of power turbine of gas turbine engine, and by shifting the volute housing, a gap is widened between the conical housing of the power turbine and the inner volute housing, thereby increasing air exchange in the cavity between the conical housing of the power turbine and the inner volute housing created by ejection of combustion products.

EFFECT: higher reliability of operation of power turbine of AL-31STN engine due to elimination of oil coking.
