FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Cap is a hollow body with a flat end part (1) connected to it with a side conical part (2) protruding above the collar of the end part with converging outer conical part (3) with additional collar (4) and with inner conical hole corresponding to inner conical hole of side conical part of cap. Maximum outer diameter of the side conical part of the cap corresponds to the diameter of the hole of the head. Thickness of wall of tapered additional conical part makes 1.5–5 mm, diameter of inner hole of tapered outer conical part makes 40–55 mm, height of tapered additional part makes 0.30–0.70 of cap height. Cap is made from highly elastic thermoplastic elastomer.
EFFECT: preventing littering of the mold during blowing and transportation, improving quality of castings.
