FIELD: foundry engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry engineering. The sealing cap for sealing the openings of the vacuum-film casting mold is made in the form of two tapered parts oriented to each other with a wide part. A technological belt (3) is made between the conical parts at a distance from above 1/4 of the height of the sealing cap and to below 3/4 of its height, a collar (2) is made in the end part of one of the conical parts. The outer surface of the tapered parts is made with protrusions (4) located in steps. The protrusions (4) on the outer surface of the sealing cap ensure a tight fit of the sealing cap and hermetically close the joint of film of the risers and protrusions after removing the models from the mold and of the cover film on the flask of the top of the casting mold.
EFFECT: preventing sand from entering the vacuum-film casting mold, reducing labor intensity and increasing the speed of preparing the half-mold of the top for assembling the mold.
