FIELD: production of piercing articles.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is new coating (1, 101) for forming artificial lawn (9), in particular a sports field with artificial grass, wherein coating (1, 101) comprises damping layer (5, 105) and artificial fibres (4, 104), sutured through said damping layer (5, 105). Damping layer contains a substrate as a lower layer, on which a wide web of sequentially attached, bent elementary threads from the elastic polymer material, which forms an integral structure, is provided. Due to structure of this new coating (1, 101) artificial lawn (9), which also contains filler material (8), has improved damping characteristics.
EFFECT: disclosed are a coating for forming a lawn and a method of producing said coating.
