FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can find application in diagnostics of stage of hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic viral hepatitis B. According to the proposed method, peripheral blood lymphocytes by DNA comet method determine percentage of DNA damage, perform clinical and general therapeutic biochemical blood analysis, using the predictive mathematical model based on the analysis results of the patients with chronic viral hepatitis B, the logistic regression coefficients with regularization are found, by means of which the auxiliary values es1 and es2 by following formulas: es1 = exp(6.354–0.019 *⋅Age – 0.096 *⋅Leukocytes – 0.066 *⋅ESR – 0.770 *⋅% of DNA in tail of comet); es2 = exp(11.944–0.019 *⋅Age – 0.096 *⋅Leukocytes – 0.066 *⋅ESR – 0.770 *⋅% of DNA in tail of comet), where exp – exponential function; age – patient's age, years; ESR – erythrocyte sedimentation rate, mm/h; leukocytes – leukocyte content in patient's peripheral blood, 109/l; % of DNA in tail of comet – content of DNA in tail of comet lymphocyte, %. Probability values P for each stage of fibrosis are then calculated by formula

and determining a stage of hepatic fibrosis, which corresponds to maximum probability value.

EFFECT: method provides higher diagnostic reliability of the stage of hepatic fibrosis and is characterized by ease of technical implementation, as well as interpretation of the study results, low invasiveness and safety for patients, namely absence of contraindications and potential risk of developing complications.
