FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of tantalum and niobium alloys and can be used in production of superconductors. Method of producing tantalum alloy involves carrying out aluminothermic reactions using a mixture of reagents containing powdered tantalum pentaoxide, powdered iron (III) oxide and/or powdered copper (II) oxide, powder barium peroxide and powdered aluminium metal. Method of producing niobium alloy includes carrying out aluminothermic reactions using a mixture of reagents containing powdered niobium pentaoxide, powdered iron (III) oxide and/or copper (II) powder oxide, powdered barium peroxide, powdered aluminum metal and at least one of powdered tantalum pentaoxide, powdered tungsten trioxide, powdered molybdenum trioxide, powdered chromium (III) oxide, powdered hafnium dioxide, powdered zirconium dioxide, powdered titanium dioxide, powdered vanadium pentoxide and powdered metal tungsten.

EFFECT: obtained alloys have a given composition and homogeneous microstructure.
