FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane technologies for producing especially pure hydrogen from gas mixtures containing hydrogen. Diffusion hydrogen separator containing membranes from palladium or its alloys, tightly connected to frames, which in their turn are tightly connected to each other; gas-permeable separator installed in cavity between two membranes, and hydrogen discharge branch pipe from this cavity, wherein the frames are pre-welded to each other and to the hydrogen discharge branch pipe, forming a hydrogen separator housing, into which a gas-permeable separator is placed, after which the membranes are connected to the frames alternately on each side or simultaneously, wherein the material of the frames and the branch pipe must comply with the following conditions: σpm<σtpm at σpm≥0, σpm<σinstpm at σpm<0, where σpm=k|εpt-(εpmt+εpmH)|Epm.
EFFECT: invention improves reliability and service life of the diffusion hydrogen separator.
