FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrogen power engineering, particularly, to membrane technologies of obtaining especially pure hydrogen from gas mixtures containing hydrogen. At that to obtain especially pure hydrogen, thin flat membranes of palladium and its alloys are preferentially bonded to structural parts of membrane element by means of soldering or welding. During operation, depressurization may occur in area of membrane attachment to structural parts of membrane element. Besides, loss of pressure is possible for the following reasons: - welding mode is not maintained due to loss of vacuum or failure of automation operation, that is at any weld of welded seam; - occurrence during operation of folds and fractures of membrane along entire surface of membrane, which inevitably leads to premature loss of density. Present invention proposes a method of recovering serviceability of diffusion hydrogen separator, having leakage in area of palladium membrane welding to frame and manifested during manufacturing, testing or operation. During repair, a membrane of palladium or its alloys with diameter D1 is cut by laser, plasma or mechanical treatment is smaller than inner diameter D0 of the frame. Further recovery (assembly) of the diffusion hydrogen separator is carried out using a known method, wherein the inner diameter D'0 of the newly made frames is calculated using the formulas: D0−D1 = Δ (1), D′0 = D1−(n × Δ), (2), where D0 - internal diameter of diffusive hydrogen separator frame wall, having leakage (unsoundness); D1 is outer diameter of the membrane of palladium or palladium alloy after its cutting from the diffusion hydrogen separator wall frame, having leakage (unsoundness); D'0 is internal diameter of diffusion hydrogen separator frame newly made for assembling diffusion hydrogen separator; n is coefficient (n > 1).
EFFECT: thus, proposed invention due to use of membranes from palladium and its alloys extracted from diffusive hydrogen separator, having leakage (unsoundness) in area of welding of palladium membrane to diffusion hydrogen separator frame, allows restoring its serviceability.
