SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aminomethylated bead polymers using condensed formaldehydes and carboxylic acid anhydrides. Method of producing aminomethylated bead polymers involves: a) droplets of monomers from a mixture containing at least one monovinylaromatic compound, at least one polyvinylaromatic compound, at least one initiator is reacted to obtain a monodisperse bead polymer, and b) the beads polymer from step a) is reacted with compounds of formula (I) or salts thereof, where R1 is alkyl with 1–3 carbon atoms or is H, and compounds of formula (II), wherein n = 2 to 100, in the presence of aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydrides or in the presence of mixtures of aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic anhydrides and at least one aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid and in the presence of at least one Friedel-Crafts catalyst to obtain phthalimidomethylated bead polymer, and amount of used compounds of formula (I) and formula (II), a bead polymer, aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydrides, Friedel-Crafts catalysts and optionally carboxylic acids, together, in reaction mixture is more than 80 wt. %, in terms of total amount of reaction mixture, and c) phthalimidomethylated bead polymer is hydrolysed to aminomethylated bead polymer.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining aminomethylated beads polymers with high output without using a chlorinated organic solvent.
